We believe that we vote with our dollar.  As foodies, our efforts are mostly directed at supporting the good food that nutures and sustains us.   Buy local, organic, and fair made!  Support our friends or support your own, if they're nearly as cool.

And once you're convinced of the gospel of good food, keep learning!  This ain't dogma, this is an ongoing education.

our asheville cohorts

  • Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project's Local Food Guide helps us decide where to go for seasonal fare, and gives us an idea of who might be interested in supporting us as local artisans.
  • Where we like to buy food: Earthfare, French Broad Food Co-op, Greenlife Grocery
  • Of all the microbreweries in the area, only Pisgah Brewing Company is certified organic.  We are currently exploring their offerings for a future truffle recipe.
  • Slow Food Asheville is a local chapter of a great international organization.
  • Blue Barnhouse letterpress and design studio presses our lovely business cards and stickers, pairing a traditional art with sustainable business practices, and class.
  • If you get sucked in to the Asheville vortex, contact Claire Bartholic for your real estate needs.

our suppliers

  • Dagoba Organic Chocolate, fine chocolate alchemists from our west coast Ash- sister city, Ashland, Oregon.  Learn more about this small producer and you will soon see why they fit well with our business philosophy and our palates.
  • Organic Valley Family of Farms, a cooperative of organic farms based in Wisconsin, supplies us with our heavy cream.  We admire their efforts at helping small farmers gain strength and security by transitioning to organic agriculture and joining a cooperative.
  • We patronize both Mountain Rose Herbs and Frontier Natural Products Co-op for the finest organic herbs and spices.
