Here in Western North Carolina, Spring arrives a little bit earlier than in some parts. We've been thoroughly enjoying hikes through the Smokies hunting for spring ephemerals while friends and family up in New York and Maine share photos of their kiddos playing in the snow!
Regardless of where you hang your hat, Spring brings with it growth and inspiration. This year, we're celebrating by introducing The Spring Collection - six brand new Truffles and Caramels: Coconut Cream, Marshmallow, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Blood Orange Caramel, Lavender & Honey and Meyer Lemon.
Inspired by the new life that this season brings, these handcrafted confections pay homage to our favorite Springtime treats. In keeping with our theme of growth and inspiration, our confections team has accented each with a swirl of organic, naturally colored cocoa butter to make them extra beautiful while keeping in line with our commitment to using only wholesome ingredients thoughtfully sourced for their integrity.
One of our favorite parts of our work is sharing the chocolate we make with our friends all over the world. We're so excited about the Spring Collection that we've decided to send a 12 Piece Box to one of our friends.

The spring collection!
Well dang! I left those mountains nearly 30 years ago after graduating from Montreat College. My journeys back are less than desired, but always valued. In the past four years French Broad Chocolates has been a must stop and savor. I’ve been known to stop by the Chocolate Lounge twice in one day. Guilty, no guilt.
As for Spring…I’m envious when my western NC friends post their Spring photos because they come weeks and weeks before Spring truly enters Michigan. There in lies the value. In Michigan we have four very distinct seasons with fall and winter being the longest. Spring with her glory of sunshine, green grass, chirping birds, colorful flowers is highly anticipated…and savored…just like each bite of treat from the Chocolate Lounge.
The best part of spring: Trading in my jeans for shorts and sweaters for tank tops! I’m allergic to the cold (no, seriously), so spring means FINALLY being able to walk outside without breaking out in hives!
I love that there’s still sunlight to enjoy after my workday is over!
Favorite thing about spring? Its the renewed energy in everything. There are dogwoods blooming, trees with new leaves, wildflowers peeking out from the brown undergrowth. Birds singing. Fresh greens , along with ramps & asparagus at the farmers mkt. Everything suddenly tastes & looks brighter!
